Tracking the Spirit

The Mission of the Project

This is the HOME page for the Faith Communities Project!  Feel free to browse the site OR if you are one of our training team members or other people involved in the project (or you are simply curious), check out the other resources!

We are joining the mission of God!  We seek to build as many missional/faith communities of disciples as the Holy Spirit leads us to build!  Each community would be committed to the disciple-making process, the value of reproduction, as well as provide a relational basis for spiritual development.

Our mission is to build a movement of disciples who disciple...those who evangelize the lost and unchurched, participate with Holy Spirit in the transformation process in people’s lives, teach all to faithfully respond to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and to build up people of faith so that each is exercising their giftedness in the context of loving, supportive, and challenging community.

The Kingdom of God is much greater than any one church.  Christ-followers are called to be more committed to seeing the Kingdom extended than they are about individual church growth. Instead of being the biggest church in the area, the desire of this proposal is to church the area. All healthy organisms reproduce. It is in their DNA to look beyond themselves to the next generation or the species dies. Healthy churches strive for multiplication on every level — disciples and churches. As Jesus Himself stated, “Make disciples to the ends of the earth.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

This Project is about...

a missional project of Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church and the Northwest District of the LC-MS 2010

Supporting the Project

The congregation of FCLC is supporting this project in prayer and in sacrificial financial giving.  If the Spirit is leading you to give to this project (above your normal giving to the congregation), contact the FCLC Church Office or the Project’s Director, Robin Dugall (rdugall@apu.edu). We will quickly get a pledge form to you!  Our gifts along with a $25,000 grant from the Northwest District of the LC-MS and a $50,000 Grant from the LC-MS forms the financial undergirding for the project for the coming months.
