The Rudy’s I-35 Cup is an event with two components. The first part is the fundraising piece in which Austin 3 person teams play a match play scramble event against 3 person teams from San Antonio. The winning city gets the Community Cup. The funds raised go to Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County and the First Tee of San Antonio. In the first three years approximately $162,000 has been raised for Charity.
The second part of this event is the competitive piece. Golfers from both cities compete all year long in local events within their respective cities and accumulate points towards making the 14 man team from their city.
