Do Americans Share a Common Culture? For university faculty and lecturers: “Taking Multiculturalism Personally”--both a scholarly and personal account of multicultural studies in the humanities. Recommended as a first reading. (19 pages) “The ‘End’ of American Literature: Towards a Multicultural Practice”--provides an argument for a multicultural revision of the study and teaching of American literature. Recommended for discussion of higher education curriculum and English or Cultural Studies.
