ULCC stands for Ultra Large Crude Carrier. Essentially these are the largest ships in the world. And the only North American port north of the Gulf of Mexico that they can fit into is on Cape Breton Island. A place called point Tupper. They offload there, then smaller Crude Carriers come in and pick up some to take the various ports along the eastern sea board.
We got the take a tour of one of these ULCCs. Not to much to see as it is mostly large tanks. The engine is huge though. It was over three stories high. A couple of people could comfortably fit into a cylinder.
The ship was a Greek ship with Greek crew. They fed us lunch. The most delicious Baklava I have ever had.

When they say Ultra, they mean Ultra.
