In the Yahoo group ATT ( All Things Tim) there is a new challenge to keep us experimenting with techniques and materials Tim demonstrated on his Christmas Tags from 2007 and 2008.
The challenge is that we revisit these tags and try to make an “everyday version “of this tags ( so NOT Christmastags).
I made a card today for Rita ,a woman of our local round robingroup who turns out to be 60 years old coming 24 th of July ( an early “hip hip hurray !” for her ) !
I used the technique from Tim’s tag day 5 2008.

On Tim’s tag he first painted the tag with black paint, stamped text and swirls with distress embossing ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, painted over it with blue paint and whiped the paint on the embossed images away.
I used the yellow of my card as a background, embossed text and swirls with clear embossing powder and painted over with orange paint, spritzed on it with water ( what Tim hasn’t done) and wiped away the paint from the embossed images. This was the technique I wanted to try out.
Tim further embellished his tag with grungeboard images from his celebrationssets and embossed the reindeer with the cuttlebug.
I cut out a swirl with my cuttlebug , colored it with green distress ink and embossed it with the blue distress embossing powder of Ranger.
I did the same on a small label with the “stream” blue adirondack embossing powder and stamped the year of Rita’s birth in the hot embossing powder.
I didn’t use grungeboard , but grungepaper.
I added a grungepaperrose : originally designed by Tim and teached in a workshop Liz Walters followed. She is one of the ATT members who made a tutorial of it so I can now make my own grungepaperrose myself !
My card is not a tag but is a long card and can stand up by bending the left side inwards.

I hope this experiment count for a participation in the challenge, but most of all I hope Rita is happy with her birthdaycard !!
