Normally lush, green California Peppers took a big hit from snow in 2009.
Agua Dulce and Acton trees turned brown from cold. Looked almost like they
needed water.
In years past, warm weather brought back green leaves from top to bottom.
This winter may be different but probably not. Warmer day will make Cal Pepper
trees green again around the community.

Jack and Kathy Kracke highly recommend M.M.A.P. (Mobile Missionary Assistance Program) a unique opportunity to serve the Lord, sharing skills and talents combined with travel and great fellowship.
These long-time Acton residents can't say enough about the great people they've met in their travels to help build things. Schools, camps, churches and the like.
"Any Christian organization that needs work qualifies for Retired Christian RV'ers to come help them. We've been to the Western states, Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona.
You have to be self-supporting, have an RV and want to travel to use your skills," says Jack.
"The women like to work. They're used to working and then they have a lovely time together doing "lady things" too," explains Kathy.

Nothing puts a smile of a Superintendent's face than one of his kid's sports
teams having a a great year. Stan Halperin coached soccer himself way back when.
"We have girls' soccer going to CIF. First time in history. As you saw last year
with the girls' volleyball and this year with girls' soccer going, it makes a statement
that we are being competitive. It makes a statement about the types of students
we're coaching."
