Ray Garwacki, President of the Acton Town Council, urged all local citizens to send letters to their government representative about increased fees for septic tanks and wells.
(You can find a sample letter online at the ACTON AGUA DULCE NEWS website - www.aadnews.com - that can be downloaded and signed or typed online and forwarded as an email to government representatives.)
"Anytime any agency can find a way to tax you, they can and they will. If everyone of you people would get off of your butts and send in that form letter and spend 42 cents today you, conceptually, will avoid spending thousands of dollars later. If you don't you have no standing to came back here and bitch at a later time."http://www.aadnews.com/http://www.cityofacton.org/council.htmshapeimage_8_link_0

Agua Dulce Town Council President, Mary Johnson, announced the upcoming joint meeting of both councils to publicly discuss local water well treatment.
"On February 23, 2009, the Agua Dulce Town Council and the Acton Town council will be hosting a public community town hall meeting to discuss the new policy for well water treatment. We are trying to collect community input at that meeting and we will have a litigator there from Pacific Legal Foundation who specializes in property rights. He will give us some options of the best way to proceed. We could all be at risk with our wells, both new well owners and reconstructed wells."http://www.aguadulce-ca.com/AD_TC.html

One good reason why Mustang Senior Girls Soccer holds 4th seed in CIF Division VII is Makalia Estrella. With 16 wins so far and three games to go her team already cinched a spot in CIF Playoffs.
"First time ever for the girls soccer program to go to Playoffs. We're excited,"
says the Vasquez High School senior. "I think there are 10 of us seniors on this team."http://aadusd.k12.ca.us/vhs/

Los Angeles County planners briefed Acton Town Council members and public on Monday evening, February 2, 2009, about planned expansion of Metrolink's Vincent Hill Station.
Another track will run parallel to the existing one so two trains can use the station at the same time. The new track will come complete with a weather shelter similar in style to the old western look of the present station.
Council members requested more weather protection area saying that when weather is bad now there just isn't room for passengers to wait.http://www.ladpw.org/
