Well, I was born in 1987 to two amazing parents, Andrea and Stanley. Both of my parents and my sister were artists/musicians, so I was very fortunate to grow up in that type of household. Anyways, I started playing trumpet when I was about ten years old and its been my addiction ever since. A good addiction, indeed! I attended the University of Florida where I majored in Music and had the great fortune of studying with one of the greatest trumpet players in the world, Dr. Joyce Davis. Furthermore, I also became a founding member of the Umoja Orchestra. Although I played in many other ensembles while in school, this one was the most rewarding and I will never forget the relationships, both musical and personally, that I formed with my friends and fellow musicians. I was also fortunate to have been asked to become the charter President for the Jazz Appreciation Student Society and Jazz Collective and to be able to write a music column for the Fine Print Newspaper! So, I now live in Brooklyn, NYC and I will be attending Graduate School at NYU starting in the Fall. I'm SOOO excited to say the least!http://www.myspace.com/jasonprover
