I am a bad girl! I am busy now and Parker keeps me on my toes so I tend to forget to update this blog. I do have another that you can read, it’s my personal one, http://drewdeniparker.blogspot.com I update there a lot more than I do here and you can always hear about Parker through that.

However, since I am sitting here, I figure, what the hey, let’s inform you all on the big boy. Parker is now almost 11 lbs. He is working on sitting up on his own (still falls over a lot!) He is so fully of life and his personality is hysterical. He has been doing so so well. He eats cereal now and gets to start baby food next week. He’s had 2 rounds of Synagis shots so far, still has Jan - April!

On Monday, we were able to take Parker to see Santa at the mall. He slept the entire wait in line and then sat there and looked at Santa as if he were some odd person. He did well though, no crying. Just dazed.

This week has been a hard one, poor Parker is sick. He has a tummy bug and has had diarrhea and been throwing up. We took him to his doctor last night and he said he just has a virus and we have to let it run its course. He is on pedialyte today since he couldn’t keep down formula at all yesterday, this will help him rehydrated. He is already acting better.

We are so looking forward to spending christmas with Andrew’s parents! Hope you have a fantastic holiday!

:) The Bad Updating Mommy!

First of all, I can hardly believe that this little critter is now almost 6 months old! Seriously, wow! I feel like he is still so new to me sometimes!

Today we headed to Dr. D’s for our check up! Parker is huge, weighing in at 9lbs 13ozs and 22 1/4 inches in length. He is progressing just as he should. Right with his curve and a bit ahead developmentally. His hydroceles have pretty much dissipated - woohoo! He got his shots: vaccines, flu and RSV shots. Poor little man cried a ton, mommy even lost it! He gets to start on solids, so tonight we will introduce him to cereal...mmmm! I am so pumped about that.

Parker has been so fun recently. He is getting so aware of things and doing so many new things. He adores his exersaucer and his teething blanket. Not sure if he is teething or not though! He loved to grab at things and laugh and kick and play!

Life is pretty good. We are getting ready to celebrate thanksgiving and I am totally getting into the holiday spirit! I can’t wait for Parker to get his picture taken with santa!

All in all, GREAT NEWS!

Which I promise is not a bad thing, I think life is just really becoming pretty normal here in the Northern household!

Parker is teething (we think) he has most of the classic signs so this has been a pretty interesting week. Nothing is coming in yet, but believe me when it does, mommy is taking pictures.

Parker went into the nursery the 1st time this sunday, not for the entire service, just for about a half an hour while I was in teaching the older kids the songs for the christmas, he did great, I was a bundle of nerves. The picture above is him in the church bouncy seat! Also, Parker now does not sleep on his wedge! He has began the transition to sleeping in his bed, no wedge, just him on his back! He does AWESOME! I again, was a nervous wreck, but he loves it, I think he may sleep better!

Parker has his 6 month check up next Tuesday, the 18th. Unless something significant happens, that is when I will update again!

Just pray that goes well!
Mommy!

Happy Belated Halloween everyone! I hope you had a great holiday, or if you don’t do anything related to it, I still hoped you had a great day!

Parker is doing pretty well! The man is astounding Drew and I every day by growing and staying right on track mentally and mostly developmentally. Above is our little guy in his first costume, my precious little bee! And the Jack O Lantern I carved! It’s hard to believe this little boy is almost 6 months old. Where does the time go? But I adore every moment with him, even those moments that I want to pull my hair out or cry!

Parker has been doing so many new things. He enjoys sucking his thumb, he can sometimes hold his own bottle, he has a star towel toy he adores, he doesn’t have to be on his wedge all the time now, he picked up his paci the other day and stuck it in his mouth. He is amazing!

This past weekend Parker had his first long road trip when we went to Indiana to visit my family. He did GREAT on the way there, perfect angel, but by the time the weekend was over, he hated being in his car seat so the drive home was long!

He has a cold again (which is normal I hear!) So we are dealing with that and we think we may be seeing his first tooth coming in! He has all the signs of a teething baby. This makes feeding a little more difficult, but we are learning patience and not pushing Parker.

I want to also note that Parker came with Drew and I to vote on Tuesday! It was so fun and he even got his own sticker!

That’s are update for this week...I am doing my best to stay on top of things!
- Mommy

Seriously, I can’t believe it! I feel like I just had him, but nope, it was 5 long months ago!

In 5 months Parker has accomplished:
Getting out of the NICU
Going from eating 45mls when coming home to 80mls
Going from 2lbs 3ozs to 8lbs 11 ozs (actually he is probably more)
Going from 14.5 inches to 21 inches
He smiles, coos, laughs, can hold his head up, can sometimes roll over, interacts with other people and things, can sit up supported, loves to kick his legs, he is up a lot more during the day, he can scoot a little bit too!

5 months and I am so thankful! What a little blessing! Be praying, we are headed on our first real road trip...to Indiana to see my family...4 hours in the car! Pray for safety and pray that Parker is good!
- Mommy
