The SC-323PU calculator program converts your iPhone and iPod touch into a pocket calculator and is designed in a way, that it simulates the visual and operational aspects of a true pocket calculator, such that the user will be immediately familiar with its interface.

It offers three general calculator modes for different tasks:

    SCIENTIFIC MODE

    UNITS MODE

    LOGIC MODE

General Features of all Modes

  1. Algebraic logic for calculation entry.

  2. Four arithmetic calculations, constant calculation, memory calculation.

  3. Priority of calculations according to a given mathematical formula.

  4. 30 levels of parentheses or pending operations.

  5. Two independently accessible memories for memory calculations.

  6. Ten memory slots to store additional values.

  7. All modes share the same memory contents, and calculation value, so that different calculator modes can be used in one calculation task.

  8. Starting with iPhone 3.0 software values can be exchanged with the pasteboard.

Scientific Mode

  1. Floating decimal point calculations with 20 digits mantissa and 2 digits exponent.

  2. Calculations: Trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions, hyperbolic and inverse hyperbolic functions, conversion of angles and time, reciprocals, square roots and cubic roots, xth roots of y (xy), squares and powers, logarithmic and exponential functions, factorials, permutations, combinations, conversions of coordinates, memory calculations.

  3. DEG/RAD/GRAD selector key.

  4. Different display modes selectable: floating point decimal, fixed point decimal, scientific notation and engineering notation.

Units Mode

  1. Conversions between different units including currencies.

  2. Calculations with mixed units.

  3. Time calculations

  4. Frame rate calculations

  5. The calculator is shipped with 84 physical units and 16 SI prefixes predefined.

  6. Exchange rate of currency units will be updated automatically from internet.

  7. Additional units can be defined by user.

  8. Single and two lines view modes optimized for different conversion tasks.

  9. Different display modes selectable: floating point decimal, fixed point decimal, scientific notation and engineering notation.

Logic Mode

  1. Conversions between 4 base systems HEX, DEC, OCT, BIN.

  2. Basic arithmetic operations including modulo division.

  3. Boolean operations AND, OR, XOR, NOT; bit shift and rotate operations.

  4. Conversion from “little endian” to “big endian” format and vice versa.

  5. Handling of 8, 16, 32 and 64 bit modes, including overflow calculations.

  6. Signed/unsigned mode.
