Nancy Zeltsman is recognized internationally among the concert music world’s percussionists as a leading marimba player and teacher. She teaches marimba at The Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music.
Nancy is Artistic Director of an annual, two-week summer marimba seminar and concert series held in different locations. Zeltsman Marimba Festival. The next is June 30-July 13, 2013 in Arcata, CA. (ZMF will be on hiatus in 2012.)
For 25 years, she has performed and taught across the U.S., as well as in Europe, Japan and Mexico. She has premiered over 125 works for solo marimba or marimba in chamber music.
Her greatest joys in music have been performing, helping to build and enhance the quality of the repertoire for marimba, and sharing ideas with her gifted current and former students, many of whom are rising stars.
