Dine Races To Number One
“...it’s just a matter of time before I reach number one.”

A third place finish at the Sarazen Classic was enough for Antony Dine to capture the distinction of Tour No.1 in record time since joining the Tour. With four top five finishes in only five starts, Dine dislodged Mark Greatorex who had held top spot since the end of 2011.

“I’m pleased with my start on Tour, but there’s definitely more to come,” commented Dine. “Although I’ve already got one Major under my belt, I feel like I wasted chances in one or two others.”

“The standard has not been as high as I expected. There are a few fading stars out there and I can’t see any reason why I wont go on to pick up a few more titles in the years to come.

Tour No.1: Antony Dine

Dine’s biggest threat now appears to be from arch rival, Matt Moore, who has enjoyed an equally impressive start to life on Tour.

Not out of the top two in his first three starts, Moore has added a new dimension to the Tour, with the rest of the field having to be on top of their game to keep him in their sights.

“I’m already ranked number five and it looks like it’s just a matter of time before I reach number one,” said Moore. “Getting past Dine is a big motivation for me,” added Moore.

With neither golfer entered for The Masters in June, now is a good a time as any for the rest of the top ten to gain some ground before the deadly duo return for the Waldine Invitational in early September.
