Jake's Backroom

The plug was pulled last week on Texas Tech's own

student run radio station 88.1 KTXT.  Not but five minutes after

notifying the students who run the radio station all one could hear

is static (Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice" was the last song played).

Friday night at Jake's Backroom local musicians and former staffers

of KTXT banded together and made a statement that this will

not go down without a fight.

The nature of the whole thing is very sinister indeed.  University

officials waited until school was concluded for the semester before

they shut down the station and students who were employed lost their

jobs with absolutely no notice.

While the lords of the underworld may have won this battle on their

collective quest to consume our souls, we shall and we will

give them a bad case of indigestion at the very least.
