2011
We started karate late summer 2010 and this summer we went to the National Championships in Arlington TX. I would really like to put up a page about it and feature some video clips I recorded, but I’m feeling a bit pinched for time and will only say that I enjoy many aspects that karate brings into our lives.
Ballet will start again in September and this little girl really loves and misses Miss Pauley and is so looking forward to being back at the Charleston Ballet Academy.
We are also working on letter and number recognition, and writing and are bumping up our academics after labor day and no, we are not impressed with the United States school systems today. Na’Ua says her pledge of Allegiance, sings My Country tis of Thee, and her Lord’s Prayer everyday, she paints, colors, jumps on her trampoline, takes a walk, trains the dogs, feeds the chickens, works in her flower bed, plays with legos and helps with the dishes. I am sure there are schools around that do that in their curriculum but not at a student to teacher ratio of one to one. This month we started our fishing program, and Na’Ua is practicing shooting her Daisy too. There is so much of this incredible world to explore and enjoy!!
