we increased our water catchment with another barrel and gutter arrangement, but this time I got these cool American made stainless steel gutter covers!  I just love them!! and the water comes out so clean... and I love water! Clean rain water!! it makes me so happy!!

The bummer is we are getting 2.73 inches of rain tomorrow and my barrels are still full! I wish I had paid closer attention to the weather and got that water into jars already, so I could refill my barrels-- Or maybe I should consider over flow barrels RIGHT AWAY!! YES

Another crazy thing is that the feed store has been out of rabbit feed-- it makes me realize that I really need to increase my inventory!  I need to have more packaged prime wool, and the wool I have needs to be sorted, weighed, inventoried and spun-- the price is only going up and I want my wool ready to go!!

Now that I have the drum carder, I can blend the wool of the same color rabbits to increase the consistency of the color; it is amazing to me how the same rabbit can change in the texture and density and even the subtle shade of color through time! but being able to blend the wool evens the color very nicely.  Although the super prime wool really doesn’t even want to touch a carder, but to be spun into hunky-chunky, one of my favorite yarns.
