SALES POLICY
If you are interested in a rabbit on my For Sale page, please send a request to purchase with a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT to my mailing address:
Sara B. Cowgill, PO Box 974, Clendenin, WV 25045
Your request should tell me a bit about yourself and your operation, how much time you have spent with rabbits and which breeds you raise, intend to raise or have raised, where you are located and a link to your website or facebook, if you are interested in a Show Quality or Breeding rabbit or if you are looking for a pet for yourself or a loved one.
Rabbits are considered sold only when full cash price has been received. If you email or call and request a rabbit, I will place your choice in SALES PENDING on my website for 3 days, after which if I have not received your deposit, the bunny will be returned to the For Sale page. Once the deposit has been received, the rabbit will be marked RESERVED on our website, and from this point, kept for ten days awaiting full payment and pick up. If you change your mind, the deposit may be applied to another rabbit only and no refund given.
I reserve the right to cancel a sale at anytime for any reason. If I change my mind, I will offer several suitable replacement rabbits from which to choose.
I no longer offer any “deals” or “package offers” as of August 14, 2010. I find the people who get deals need to feel as if they have won something over on me in order to be happy, that they insist on more and more and are quite unpleasant. I find their behavior quite unbecoming and I have no tolerance for this type behavior and do not wish to cater to it ever again. If you are the type person who needs to bargain, please go elsewhere.
Pick up and Delivery:
The pick up of the animal is the responsibility of the purchaser and must be completed within ten days from the time of purchase. After ten days there is $1.00 a day boarding fee. After two weeks, the arrangement is null and void. Arrangements may be made to deliver your purchase to one of the shows if we are to attend and if this is also convenient to you. Rabbit must be paid in full prior to the show. If you need this animal shipped, all costs incurred and arrangements must be handled by purchaser; I will do what I can to accommodate you in your endeavors to get your rabbit. If a friend of your picks up the rabbit for you, I can only guarantee the rabbit until it leaves my hands, and no moneys are refunded if your rabbit dies during transport.
Health Commitment:
I assure that all bunnies offered for sale are free of illness when leaving my rabbitry. I can not guarantee against injury or intestinal complications (ie. diarrhea/enteritis) once you take delivery of your bunny. To help with an easy transition, you will receive a package of regular mix food for each bunny under the age of 12 weeks. I suggest you make arrangements to offer you rabbit water during transport, keep the temperature below 83°F, refrain from smoking in the vehicle with your rabbit, and keep the rabbit dry and out of drafts.
Quality of Rabbits:
The following are definitions of the terms used to describe the quality of rabbits:
Show quality:
This rabbit will be free of disqualifications at the time of sale. I can not guarantee that it will become a Grand Champion although it should be a worthy competitor on the show table. Show condition means it is ready for the table now.
Complete pedigree provided(UNLESS STATED).
Breeding Quality:
This rabbit may have a minor DQ (such as a missing or white toenail, broken or missing tail, etc.) but should be worthy of passing on quality traits to its offspring. This rabbit may be shown, but has at least one apparent fault that could prevent it from showing well. The fault will be disclosed before any deposit is accepted.
Complete pedigree provided (UNLESS STATED).
Pet/Wooler:
This rabbit would make a wonderful pet and is a good representative of its breed but is not qualified to show and/or has genotypic weaknesses that is undesirable to breed into my herd. It's wool is suitable for spinning.
NO pedigree provided. Breeding is discouraged.
Cull/ Rescue:
This animal does not have the type or wool to earn its own way in the world, but as a sentient creature, still deserves a good home. This rabbit should never be bred, but should go to a loving home where it will be kept clipped and hidden from public view LOL just kidding. Sometimes a rabbit gets injured in the nest box or somehow doesn’t make the grade, but can often be the most loving animal and the best pet.
Birth Certificate and Adoption papers included. Pet Owner Awards given later.
