<richText>Odessa is a Mini Rex Grand Champion that I got from Jo Ann Schoolcraft, who wasn’t going to breed her anymore. She was doing this heavy breathing thing in Jo’s barn and I thought she might just like some fresher air. I really needed a doe for PJ’s Many. Odessa is black and beautiful-- and she is so happy having babies!! she is mother to Osirus and in a different litter, to Champagne and Opus, who I hope to show this year. Odessa has four Grand Champions on her pedigree, and although she isn’t at her registered weight anymore, she is still very lovely. At the rabbitry today, she had mouth fulls of hay and was dancing circles, working on her new nest. she gets so busy and excited, it’s like Barbara Streisands favorite Christmas present. With the temperatures so low in the nights now, it will really require diligence to keep her babies well nested, and I think Odessa is just the rabbit to do that. She hasn’t lost a kit yet, not since she came to live with us at Appalachain Rain Rabbitry. I am excited too!!</richText>
