AR’s Ella

1-15-2010

Ella is the largest doe in her litter, and had the deepest darkest brown eyes and the coat that was rich and black from the start, but developed white hairs-- and a spot.  She is from a pairing of Desdamona, blue, with Spencer from Smith Creek, a robust black with great sheen and thick bones.  I am hoping to create a nice self black line, and Ella is a great start.

Ella charged me today for the first time, after about a month of asking to be bred to no avail.  She has developed white hairs and even a couple white spots-- a grouping of more than four white hairs, which is a disqualification, I believe. You can see they are on her ear tip and at the base of the same ear.

Ella is weighing in at 14.06 on November 15, to mark

10 months age; she made 13.06 at the 8 month mark.  She is a fairly large virgin female ready to breed.

I am considering breeding her with AR Clyde, 10EJ (Monster’s brother), who is black, 12.14 at 7 mo. and who will be 9 mo. in January, and hopefully, at or above weight.  Unfortunately, he also has stray white hairs.

This pairing seems to have taken and Ella is due to deliver March 24.

I’m looking for dark rich color of coat, eyes and nails, with robust size and friendly, curious disposition.
