AR’s Blue Mtn

1-15-2010

Blue Mtn is all hope and friendship.  I love him and he is so sweet.  He was so undersize as a kit that I was tempted to sell him at a discount! but now he is coming into his size and weighed just under ten pounds at almost five months, so he is well within the parameters to be reaching register size at age, and I am hopeful it will happen.  His real asset isn’t size, but in that he is a true to color blue, and with the disposition that we all want in a giant rabbit.

Blue Mtn. made 10.08 at his fifth month birthday, and 13.02 on November 26, 2010!! He made weight! YES! And March 2011, Blue Mtn. weishs in at 13.12, a very nice size for a blue buck.

I did breed him last month and we got a rew-- so we now he carries a recessive gene for color.  Here is a kinda record of colors and sizes for him and his litter mates. He does not have any of those white hairs that are currently in the herd.

I would like to breed him with Mistletoe, when she comes up to weight, for blue.

I have decided, after some deliberation to keep him on as blue herd buck until further notice.
