Dustibunnies’ Othello (125)
Dustibunnies’ Othello (125)

This is one of the friendliest rabbits I have ever had the pleasure to meet, and he is so soft and full (dense) and I just love his wool and his sweet face.
I got him from Colleen Wagner at a show in northern Ohio last year, along with his brother, Hamlet (lilac) and sister, Precious (choc. torte).
He threw 7 out of 19 vm and white toenail disqualifications, so he’s out of the breeding program for the most part. I haven’t analyzed the data completely to see if I have at least one doe who doesn’t double up the problem to bring this genotype to flesh. I am quite happy with some of these kits, even with DQ’s, they have some really different wool, maybe bringing some density and softness into the herd.
I asked Colleen about the vms and toenails and she said the Moonbi doe was brought in and she wasn’t that sure about it..
I am watching and taking observations and records on the wool of his kits to help determine if I can use them even if I won’t be using him. I’m pretty sure I’ll keep him, as long as he stays healthy and nice. After all, I am a nice wool as well as a show family.
