My Sister-In-Law gave my dog a small digital camera that clips to her collar. This allows her to take pictures from her doggy point-of-view. She wore it during our hike this morning, it was set to take a picture every 1 minute. Here are some highlights of her art.

No, not some awful poem I wrote in high school. Actual plaster casts of my grandfather’s feet. My Dad came across these while clearing out the house, and intuitively knew that they were weird enough that I would want them. I’ve been told they were used to create custom shoes or boots back in the day. I’m not sure if they were kept at a local shop, or mailed across country, but it’s kind of a fascinating process to think about.

Wow. Loud, shimmery, and reverberant guitars coupled with 50’s Rocker teenage angst. These guys are from Glasgow, and there’s no mistaking the accent. I really love this band, they fit in with the current Aught Rock scene but definitely have an original take on it.

My very own Thingamagoop Ghost has arrived! Just in time for Halloween. He will be going to work with me tomorrow to meet and annoy my co-workers. Finally, there’s a reason to buy 9 volt batteries again!

I just replaced my 8 year old cellphone and like an old man, am now discovering the stunning features of common technology. I love the fact that I can now take pics when I don’t have my regular camera with me. These are from my morning walk w/ Hobbes. Not the greatest quality, but I really wanted to capture the cool fog bank.
