My very own Thingamagoop Ghost has arrived! Just in time for Halloween. He will be going to work with me tomorrow to meet and annoy my co-workers. Finally, there’s a reason to buy 9 volt batteries again!

Spontaneous Shots

I just replaced my 8 year old cellphone and like an old man, am now discovering the stunning features of common technology. I love the fact that I can now take pics when I don’t have my regular camera with me. These are from my morning walk w/ Hobbes. Not the greatest quality, but I really wanted to capture the cool fog bank.

While visiting NYC I checked out the Saturn photography exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History. It features some amazing photos from the Cassini-Huygens mission spanning the last 4 years of work. The detail is stunning and very worth seeing close up. The exhibit is there through March of next year, so catch it if you can.

Eastern Shore Ride

Continuing with the travelogue photo sessions here. I took a motorbike ride to the Eastern Shore of Maryland this week. This is such a great state to ride in, so many old curvy roads, beautiful county, and waterways. I went down past St. Michaels to Tilghman Island, and then north to Centreville and Chestertown.

Rails To Trails

Hobbes and I find ourselves in Maryland for this hike (uh, walk really). We strolled along the B&A trail, which used to be an old railroad track that ran behind my parent’s house. Much to my childhood dismay, trains stopped using the track a couple of decades before I existed, but the track has been put to good use and turned into a bike path. And I’m proud to say I’m among the elite few who have surmounted the dreaded Arnold Pass.
