An Invitational Multi-Cultural Art Exhibition
Conversaciones (Conversations) is an invitational art exhibition produced in response to The City of Providence’s declaration of September as Hispanic Heritage Month in conjunction with RISD's Office of International Programs, RISD's Office of Multicultural Affairs, and RISD's Office of Public Engagement.
Curated by Elena Calderon-Patiño with the assistance from Tony Johnson, Conversaciones serves as a connecting point and dialogue between RISD and the Providence community through exhibiting the work of artists of Latin American ancestry who range from emerging to established artists/designers. Artists representing the Rhode Island based art community, the RISD student population, and RISD alumni will be featured in The RISD Multicultural Center’s Yellow House Gallery.
The artists: Pablo Alvarez, Jaime Camacho, Maria Garcia Corretjer, Tamara Diaz, Felix Diclo, Ana Flores, Fransisco Hernandez, Ciraco Herrero, Maria Mercado, Evans Molina, Tatiana Pina, Amy Jean Romero, Sidney Tillet and Kristian Rangel Vallari.
