Leaving our own garden to venture out into the “back yard” of the Rocky Mountains is always a treat, no matter what the season. Aspen Glow shimmers through early September on through the month. We had a lovely 2 mile hike up to Lake Isabelle in the fall of 2008. It’s just a little ways above Brainard Lake near Ward off the Peak to Peak highway from Nederland.
