Daniel Dominguez was born in Fresno, Calif. At age 3, his family returned to Mexico for six years, he then re-entered the country legally when he was 9. His mother is now going through the naturalization process.

After spending nearly four years in York, family and job opportunities enticed his family to move to O’Neill. Daniel is currently a senior at O’Neill Public Schools.  He is very involved in sports and was the 103 lbs. Class B state champion in wrestling in 2010 while also participating in Track and Football.

Dan believes undocumented students should have an opportunity to live the American Dream and hopes his selfless act of walking from O’Neill to Lincoln will help raise awareness about the plight of undocumented students and the solution that the federal DREAM Act offers.
