Movie Poster Projects

If you were the star of a Hollywood Movie about your life, what would it be? Who would co-star with you? What kind of reviews would you expect it to receive? Digital Design Students used their creativity and Photoshop skills to create projects this week that answered these questions. Here is the “Wall of Fame” project from Hayley Herzog entitled, “Legally Brunette.” I can’t wait to see it in the theaters!

"Determination"

For my second photo, I used a picture of Will McCabe before the Homecoming Football Game. Will painted his face almost all black. You can see the determination in his eyes in this photo. I duplicated the layer, made the top layer black and white and erased everything that wasn't blue. I also left his eyes because if you look close, they are also really blue. I thought that this added to the effect. If I went out of the lines and accidentally erased some of his jersey, I used the color replacement tool to fix it. I smudged out the background and added a quote about Determination. I also added a drop shadow to the text.

This picture was originally just a basketball going through the hoop, with the crowd in the background. The colors were dull, and the picture was pretty boring. So, I went to images, adjustments and I changed the setting to darken the background, and make the basketball and the net really stand out. Then I had to use the clone stamp tool because some the the parts of the black were different colors. My two words that I chose for this photo would be that I was inspired by the photo and it caught my eye because I have a passion for the game of basketball.
