<b>Improvement was once again the obvious determining factor of success to the O’Neill 7th grade volleyball team as they competed in the St. Mary’s Junior High Tournament on Saturday, September 19, 2009. In the first match of the day for the Eagles, they took on Chambers 7th and 8th grade combined team. Although O’Neill came up short in 2 sets of 25-18 and 25-16, they showed major strides in running their offense and moving the ball around the court. Serving efforts for the Eagles were led by Arianna Dugan (4 pts./2 aces), Rahtaya Young (4 pts./1 ace), Natalie Brodersen (3 pts/1 ace), Brandi Taylor (3 pts), and Hannah Zeeb (1 pt/1 ace). O’Neill was defeated by St. Mary’s 7th grade in the second match of the day. Scores were 25-18 and 25-16 in favor of St. Mary’s.
