<b>The O’Neill Jr. High volleyball teams both took home runner-up trophies from the West Holt Junior High Tournament on Saturday, October 10, 2009. O’Neill defeated Valentine, then lost to North Central in the 7th grade division, while in the 8th grade bracket, O’Neill beat West Holt, then lost to Valentine. Statistics from the 7th grade games include sets of 28-26, 24-26, and 15-7 against Valentine and scores of 22-25 and 23-25 versus North Central. “All sets were hard-fought and included great set-ups and volleys with the girls displaying much improvement since the beginning of the season,” commented Coach Morrow. 7th grade girls scoring serving points for the weekend tournament include: Hannah Zeeb (13), Ariel Lichty (11), Alejandra Vergara (8), Natalie Brodersen (6), Brandi Taylor (6), Rahtaya Young (4), Arianna Dugan (2), Shelby Jennings (1).
