Activities for the week of June 8-11

We will be outdoors a lot during these last days of school.  You may want to put sunscreen on your child before he or she comes to school.  Here are some of our upcoming activities:

Tuesday, June 9 We will be going to Schallenberger’s American Heritage Day assembly (outdoors).  This is not a free dress day, but your child may (or should) bring a sun hat.  It would be a good idea to write your child’s name inside the hat!

Wed., June 10   Field Trip!  This is a free dress day.  It’s a long walk to the park.  Please make sure that your child is wearing comfortable walking shoes and play clothes.  Swimsuits may only be worn underneath (not instead of) the play clothes.  If you’d like to send a towel, please make sure it’s marked with your child’s name.  Please do not send a snack that day.  We will be providing ice cream for the students.  There are signups for donations of large water jugs and  graham crackers by our classroom doors.

Thursday, June 11 Last day of school!  This is a free dress day.  Your child may (or should) bring a sun hat.  We’ll be going to the Schallenberger “concert” assembly (outdoors).
