1 - OSSLT Blitz Day - Reading a Newspaper Report
2 - Comedy Then and Now
Just like hairstyles and clothing, comedy changes over time. The 1920s and 1930s have been called the “Golden Age of Comedy”; however, the comedy of this “Golden Age” is often much different from what we would call comedy today.
TASK: Compare the comedy of the 1920s and 1930s to the comedy of today, using a Venn diagram.
During the video, record observations about the comedy of the 1920s and 1930s under the circle labelled “Comedy Then”. After the video, use the “Comedy Now” circle to list characteristics of comedy today. Put anything that the two eras have in common where the circles overlap.
Today’s Learning Goal:
I will compare entertainment in the 20s and 30s to entertainment today.
