We’re walking back to our apartment after our cancelled tour guide.  The large building behind us is called Castle Saint Angelo.  This was built in 135 AD and was originally constructed as a mausoleum for the Emperor Hadrian and his family, but was turned into a citadel and dungeon that has seen more blood, treachery and turmoil than any other here.  We seeing this tomorrow as well.
