The Martin Wickramasinghe School is located in Kogala, Sri Lanka, and has over 300 kids attending grades 1-12. The school is located on the coastal highway 15 minutes south of Galle and was hard hit by the Tsunami. As many of the children are from poor villages and malnutrition is an ongoing problem, the European company Vitalife sponsors a food program to provide morning meals to the entire 300+ student body on a daily basis. A group of mother’s prepare the meal each morning. Vitalife has also funded a computer room, pays the monthly salary for a computer teacher and dance teacher and provides shoes for all the children.
