Sambodhi Home for the Disabled is located in Galle, Sri Lanka and home to over 75 wonderful people. Over 40 Sambodhi residents were killed during the December 26, 2004 Tsunami. The people at Sambodhi, despite their limitations, are extremely independent and self-sufficient. Many of the residents participate in the active day-to-day operation of the home. The Sambodhi facility, in addition to sleeping, cooking and recreation areas, includes a village school and a small onsite medical facility.
