When: Wednesdays through Sept. 30, 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Best lunching: Size and flavor are Meg Vogt's watchwords at Village Crepery. Berry fillings make a sweet treat; savory fans should look for fresh greens and prosciutto.

Strawberry and the World of Vegan Food

#dittering, part two
June 28, 2009

On Saturday, the final day of #dittering, I tabled at Hollywood Farmers Market (which got on Twitter recently) for NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon, where I intern. I don’t usually go to that market and I have no idea why because it’s close and big and adorable and there is great music. I wasn’t sure how much vegan food would be available, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a crepe stand with vegan crepes and that Quality Vegan had a booth.

Sitting on top of some literature about healthcare reform

The crepe was so good! Probably the best vegan crepe I have bought in Portland. The stand was called Village Crepery, apparently not to be confused with Village Creperie… My crepe was the Harvest, with tomato, avocado, spinach, basil and scallions (sans creme fraiche).

FOODDAY

MARKET WATCH

"If the gorgeous produce at the Hollywood Farmers Market inspires your appetite, pick up a sweet or savory crepe freshly made at Village Crepery...in addition to sweet or savory crepes, each week offers a seasonal crepe. The day I visited it was a Fiesta Crepe in honor of Cinco de Mayo, made with cheese, roasted red peppers, black beans, pepper jelly, cilantro, jalapeños, avocado and creme fraiche ($5)."

Feeling a Bit Pumpkin?

Posted Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007, By: Joanna Miller

All of the following will be happening Saturday, October 27th.

Pumpkin Note #1

According to Meg of The Village Crepery, her crepe cart at The Hollywood Farmers’ Market will become The Village CREEPERY on Saturday. They will be serving up PUMPKIN crepes with fresh whipped cream, in addition to the regular crepe menu. And, putting a decidedly Pacific Northwest spin on a classique du Bretagne, they will also be featuring a poached pear, blue cheese and roasted hazelnut crepe.

Oui, s’il vous plait!
