We met Adam recently at our friend Kim Il Mann’s onggi studio in Yeoju while hosting our International Ceramic Artist Tour that traveled throughout Korea visiting many of Korea’s best ceramic artists in their studios.  We featured Kim Chang Ho, Kim Il Mann’s son in our video Earth Fire Sky on ancient Korean ceramic processes.  It is great to see these comprehensive videos by Adam on YouTube.  Join us on our next tour to visit this amazing onggi studio in person.

Whynot Pottery
  Whynot, NChttp://www.whynotpottery.com/

We have known Mark and Meredith Heywood owners of Whynot Pottery for many years.  Recently they lost their studio due to a freakish lightening strike that caused a fire.  If you would like to help them recover, their address is Mark and  Heywood 1013 Fork Creek Mill Rd.,  Whynot, NC  27341-8122.  In any case, you have discovered a great pottery and wonderful people in Whynot, NC.  “A Seagrove pottery”

North Carolina Pottery Center
Seagrove, NChttp://www.ncpotterycenter.com/aboutusnew.htm

The North Carolina Pottery Center showcases the remarkable history and on-going tradition of pottery making in North Carolina. Located in Seagrove, one of the state's key historical and contemporary pottery producing regions, the Center is your first stop in exploring North Carolina's rich clay heritage.  It is one of America’s most important ceramic centers as it preserves one of our oldest ceramic traditions.

Recently it lost much of its state funding and needs our support.  Contact them through the link above and donate if you can.
