Spring is an exceptional time to visit Korea for ceramic artists and tea connoisseurs.  The date is May.  Then Korea’s culture will reach an amazing crescendo. In some years many exciting events can be happening together.  Depending on the year these can include the  the Mungyeong Chassabal (tea bowl) Festival, and possibly the magnificent Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul if the dates are right.  Any year you will visit the studios of several Human Cultural Treasures and other outstanding artists in ceramics throughout Korea and travel to Gangjin home of “first under heaven” celadon.  More important, this id Tea Time in Korea.  We would not have the teacup, teapot or tea bowl without tea.  Are you a ceramic artist who makes tea ware?  Do you understand tea?  If you don’t understand tea, your tea ware is suffering.  Sure, you can sell something that looks like a tea pot to someone else who doesn’t understand tea but if you want to make quality tea ware you must understand tea.  Check our web site and blog for more information on this rare opportunity.
