Here is the information on the exhibit, workshop and tour as I have it now. 

I will post additional information here as soon as I can. 

1. As you know, we can’t put together a China group tour.  For those who wish to go to China as individuals I will try to arrange for you to visit with our YiXing teapot friends.  They might even give you some lessons in forming teapots the YiXing way.  They were not at the festival this year but I can contact them and make arrangements for you.  If you are interested in visiting China on your own or with the few other members of our group that want to go to China, please let me know as soon as possible.   We can help you make some contacts in China and can help you with rooms or another tour there.  Let us know immediately if you would like our help.

2.  Your Flight Should be Booked!

Everyone arrives on or before August 6.  Because of various time zones some of you will leave on August 5 and some will leave on August 6.  Gangjin will have an early bus to Gangjin on August 7.    

Does your schedule require an earlier arrival such as August 5?  We will help you book your room at a reduced rate but you are responsible for the cost.  Let me know immediately - that means NOW!.

A.  If you are touring after the Exhibit/Workshop experience in Gangjin - Korea only, book your return home for August 21 or extend it for a few days at your expense. We can help book the extra room.

B. If you are returning home or going to China from Korea after August 21 and want us to book a room for you for the extra night or nights, please let us know NOW!

C. If you are touring after the Exhibit/Workshop experience in Gangjin - Korea and want to go to China as an individual you may book your return flight as you want to plan your own schedule.  See Above 1.

C.  A 5 line biographical statement for publication purposes.  They will not be publishing a full CV.

Pay no attention to North Korea’s saber rattling.  It happens when new administrations come into power in the USA or when NK feels it is not getting attention.  South Korea is one of the safest countries in the world.

Tour Price

The final price of the tour is only $866.00 or $108.25 per day for 8 days.  The change and confusion from my earlier prediction is due in part to economic changes, the drop out of some after the price was announced and other less defined circumstances beyond my control.  That said; the tour price is still far less than the tour price paid by last year’s group. We make no profit on this tour.

There will be ongoing outdoor demonstrations taking place throughout the Gangjin Festival presented by various exhibiting artists at different times.  This includes the invited international artists – YOU - on a rotating basis.

A few of you are going on to China.  Our partner travel agent can help you with your tour.  We can help with personal connections there.  If you would like our help, please let us know.  Since you are already traveling with us, our help with things  such as booking the hotel, guide and or travel plans would probably be less than through another agent.  Our agent has tours to and from China all the time.  Please contact us.
