The Who & What of the Tour
The itinerary and price for the China extension will be developed when participants are selected and interest in this extension is confirmed. It would visit Shanghai, YiXing, where we have contacts with tea pot masters, and Beijing. Why are we not including Xian to see the terracotta soldiers? Domestic airfare in China is about $400 USD from Shanghai to Xian. We can schedule a side trip for those who want to go there. We can also schedule individual tours.
Ch’o Ui is to Korea what Sen no Rikyu is to Japan. One of Sen no Rikyu’s grandfathers was a Korean aesthetician working for with a Japanese warlord in Japan. Some scholars believe that much of Sen no Rikyu’s natural philosophy of tea came from his Korean grandfather. Interested in Tea? TeaTourKorea.com
