This summer Gangjin will invite approximately twenty international ceramic artists to participate in an exhibit and a series of ceramic workshops.  The invitations will come after a jurying process of your work.  See applications page.

     Gangjin is simply looking for quality ceramic work and makes no limitations on type, style, glaze etc.  Prior exhibits have been diverse.

     The accepted artist is responsible for getting work to and from the exhibit.  This should not be a problem since artists will also be attending the accompanying workshop.  For prior exhibits, work accompanied the artists on their plane.  Up to three pieces may be accepted.

     Representatives from Gangjin will transport artists to Gangjin.  After your acceptance, arrival times may be coordinated so that all participants arrive at similar times.  However, this may be difficult for arrivals from various countries.  Airfare is not provided by Gangjin.

  Gangjin will provide accommodations, meals, transportation and the series of free workshops with exceptional Korean ceramic artists while in Gangjin.  Gangjin along with Morning Earth Tours and US Travel are subsidizing a portion of the Korean Ceramics Tour following the stay in Gangjin.  If there is sufficient interest there is a possibility of extending that tour to YiXing China.

     A committee in Gangjin, Korea will make the decisions as to who will be accepted for this exhibit and workshop.

     The dates of the exhibit are August 7-15 2010.  As stated exhibiting artists are responsible for their work both to the exhibit and, if not sold, its return.  If you are on the tour, your work would be delivered to the hotel in Seoul prior to your departure home.
