-1953Born in Tegelen, Netherlands.

-1985 / 1988Ceramics training at “Keramische Leer/Werkplaats Tegelen”,
a training in the local Tegelen/Lower-Rhine, earthenware and slipware tradition.
-1987 / 1989Apprenticeship with Joop Crompvoets, “Pottenbakkerij de Walsberg”, Swalmen.
-1989 / 1990Worked as a thrower in a semi industrial pottery, making flowerpots and vases for florists, “Ciro Ceramiek”, Beesel.
-1990 / 1991Apprenticeship with Guul Jacobs, “Potterie de Olde Kruyk”
Milsbeek.
-1991Setting up our own pottery studio together with partner Pim van Huisseling, at Grotestraat 52, Tegelen.
