Spotted Shino

This teabowl is from a series of unusual teabowls and like others in this collection is one of my favorite bowls. It reminds many people of a field of flowers. It also reminds me of cirrocumulus clouds on a stormy day near sunset.
Thrown on a slow wheel, it moves in its stillness. It both fits the hand and pleases the eye. It gained the attention of many collectors at an international teabowl exhibit.
The color and surface comes from the use of a classic shino glaze in a reduction atmosphere. I employed personal glazing techniques. This is a rare piece.
