First make a folder in your home folder called “menu  bar”, or you could call it whatever you want to.

Inside of this one create folders for the different categories you want on your dock. I have:

Internet

iLife

Work

Fun & Games

Misc Stuff

Tools

Then in each of these, you put the alias shortcuts for the applications.

Just go into the application folder, create an alias for the application you want, right click the application & select “create alias”

Drag the alias’s into the folders you created above, when you have all the ones in there you want drag the folders onto the right side of the dock. Very easy!
