due date!
2008
What an amazing journey it has been to get to this day! What started as two little lines on a test kit in my bathroom has come full circle to this moment! (okay - maybe it started with a little more than that... ha, ha!)
It’s a big couple of days for us in the Aittaniemi household. Today we have an ultrasound to make sure the baby is still on target for growth (she measured small again last week), tomorrow I have what will likely be my last OB appointment, and Friday we have an induction scheduled for 8am if she hasn’t arrived by then! (of course, if something looks concerning at my ultrasound today, the schedule may change accordingly)
We are excited and a bit relieved to have a game plan at this point. My parents are flying in tomorrow to provide the first round of family support. Can’t wait to see them and know they are busting at the seams to get out here! Toby and Amy are driving in Friday after work and spending the weekend and Monday with us. Can’t wait for them to be here as well - it’s been awhile since we’ve seen them and look forward to baby {a} meeting all her new and excited family members! Mark’s family will be spending some time with us in a few weeks during the vacation time he requested. It’s the first time they are coming to Hershey, so it’s exciting for so many reasons. (not to mention his Mom, Dottie, turns 70 today - big milestone! His sister, Beth, also shares this birthday... guess September is a big month for Aittaniemi women!)
SO... stay tuned. I’ll probably try to post one more update tonight or tomorrow and then I’ll officially be on Mama duty until further notice! Big hugs to all of you who are reading this. We have been totally overwhelmed by how supportive our friends and family have been as we traveled down the pregnancy journey. Can’t wait to share the exciting news in a few short days! (if not sooner!!!!!!!!!!!)
XO!
