A story in pictures of the restoration and conversion of an historic flour mill in rural Mendocino County, California. Built in 1888, the original structure housed the blacksmith shop. The rear three story addition was erected in 1914 when the Round Valley Flour Mill began operating.
In 1944 the mill shut down. Barn owls, bats and rodents soon took up residence and the nine thousand square foot redwood structure entered a period of decay which would last for more than a half century. This story begins in June 1995.
