In this case Überman refers to a method of sleeping six 20 minute naps a day. After an initial (unpleasant) adaptation period your body learns to compress the necessary REM sleep into your 20 minute naps. The result is supposed to be more energy and a day that has 22 productive hours.

This experiment started out as an Überman attempt, but has changed into something called Everyman, which is only slightly less extreme. Our version of Everyman replaces one of the 20 minute naps with a core sleep of 1.5 ours, so we get a total of about 3 hours of sleep per day.
