CONCERT ATTIRE

CONCERT ATTIRE FEE

New students will be charged a one-time fee of $65.00 for their concert attire. 

Women are purchasing a concert dress; men are purchasing tuxedo pants, cummerbund, bow tie, and tuxedo shirt.

Used concert attire may be purchased on a consignment basis. (Refer to Concert Attire Consignment below.)

The garment bag, tuxedo jacket, and madrigal costume remains the property of

the RHHS Department of Music and are provided through the Music Activity Fee.

All purchased items become the property of the individual.

**A slip must be worn under the dress.

HEMMING

Tuxedo Pants/Dresses must be hemmed with needle and thread!

DO NOT USE tape, staples, or anything other than needle and thread.

DO NOT CUT any fabric, as this may be needed as the student grows.

CONCERT ATTIRE GUIDELINES

The Concert Attire is a sign of commitment and represents the River Hill high School of the past, present, and future.

Care of the concert attire is the responsibility of the student.

Disciplinary actions are taken for not wearing the concert attire properly or for improper actions while in concert attire.

When you are in concert attire, you are not looked upon as an individual,

but as a member of the River Hill High School Music Program.

The following guidelines have been developed to help create a positive presentation for the RHHS Music Program.

The RHHS music program wears its concert attire with PRIDE

and NEVER appears at a public performance out of concert attire.

The complete concert attire consists of all materials, and only materials outlined above below will be accepted.

NO SUBSTITUTIONS.

Full concert attire includes:

fastened collar with bow tie

proper pants length

being clean-shaven

NO jewelry, watches, fingernail polish, or excessive make-up

conducting yourself properly.

*An inspection takes place before every performance.

Students dressed improperly will not be allowed to perform

and will be considered unexcused absent from the performance.

STORAGE

All Concert Attire will be taken home and stored at home.

Students must arrive for performances dressed in concert attire, unless otherwise instructed.

CLEANING

All Concert Attire should be professionally dry cleaned when dirty and pressed prior to each performance.

Tuxedo shirts should be washed and pressed prior to each performance.

DISTRIBUTION

Fitting times are scheduled during the first weeks of school.

Concert Attire Fees are due at the time of fitting.

Failure to return any of the school issued garments will result in a withholding of grades

and being charged the full replacement cost of the outstanding garments.

Garments returned damaged will be assessed the cost of repairs or replacement.

CONCERT ATTIRE CONSIGNMENT

Music students who outgrow their concert attire or leave the music program will have the opportunity

to sell their concert attire to incoming/returning students at a discounted price.

This concert attire will be offered on consignment only!

Prices will be set by the River Hill High School Department of Music,

in coordination with our current stock of used concert attire.
