CEM 2009 opening

Sunday, we celebrate the beginning of the 2009 class of Christians on Mission, its 11th edition. These four girls have already some experience of working together since they were councilors for this summer’s Harmony Bible Camp.

Please pray for them that God bless this year they have put aside for Him, giving them the opportunities they need to grow and the courage to face them !

This entry also marks the end of the summer slumber for our blog. Come visit us every Monday for fresh news of what is happening in our lives here in Marseille !

This week is kinda slow motion after these last months, so we get to clean up and do paperwork.

Camp Harmony 2008

So much to tell, so little room ! How could anyone put these two wonderful weeks in a few words ? Suffice to say that our spiritual objectives were fulfilled as well as the rest. The team I worked with was so dedicaded to sharing the gospel with the kids that I’m sure our work cannot be in vain. God has planted and we encourage you to continue praying for all those kids you might not even meet, but through whom God can make his Glory shine !

Please pray especially for one camper, Cyrielle M., who was baptised into Christ.

CEM Summer cession 2008 !

45 people from outside of Marseille (Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland and the US —including a group from Littleton, CO), and about as many from Marseille, the Chapel was really full each day of this wonderful week. Starting with a gigantic concert for 400 people in Allauch, we shared a week of mission together, in French simultaneously translated in English). Mornings were devoted to Bible studies, discussions and prayer (we got to hear 10 different speakers from various backgrounds) and afternoons were for more practical missions, bringing the gospel to homeless people, nursing homes, distributions in the street, a musical, home bible studies… And the evenings, we all got to fellowship around a meal in the homes of the Marseille hosts.

This week, we also had the graduation ceremony for this year’s CEM class (they are not totally finished, since they still have two weeks of camp !). Lynda, Raphaël and Justin S. have been a blessing for us as much as CEM has been for them, and we shed not a few tears praying for them and for the future missions God will bring them to. Next year, four people have inscribed for CEM ’09, and others are thinking of doing the year and need your prayers for God to open doors so they can come to Marseille.

What a week ! =)
