Conederosa Enterprises, Inc.
Conederosa Enterprises, Inc. was created in 2003 to encompass Mickey Jack Cones' seemingly limitless talents as a singer/songwriter, musician, producer & engineer under one corporate umbrella. This inevitable structuring began in May of 1998 when Mickey was signed on to produce, perform, record & co-write the pop/rock development project for Joshua and Jacob Miller, A.K.A. Nemesis Rising, which landed the mirror twins a recording contract with Curb Records (LA). In early 2000, a production partnership was formed between Mickey and multiple Grammy Award winning producer and songwriter David Malloy (Eddie Rabbit, Reba McEntire, Mindy McCready, Andy Griggs & More). After that, Mickey accepted an offer to produce sides on David Kersh (Curb Records). This led to a co-production credit with top producer/songwriter Doug Johnson on Trini Triggs' 2003 Spring single "Heaven On Earth".
As if he wasn't already wearing enough hats, Cones was signed in April 2003 as a staff writer to EMI, one of the largest and most successful international publishing houses in the nation. During his first year he penned "The Last Thing She Said" for Ryan Tyler (RCA) with Shaye Smith and Ryan Tyler. Mickey also delivered the Monday night football anthem "Titans On Two" for the Tennessee Titans' 2004 season and had a cut on Julie Robert's sophomore album “All I Want Is You” released in early 2006 (Mercury Records).
From January 2004 to February 2005, Mickey Jack (as he is often referred to) spent the majority of his time on the road with country newcomer Julie. As Roberts' friend, co-writer, guitarist/background vocalist and bandleader, Cones has shared the stage with such top acts as Restless Heart, Reba McEntire, Daryl Worley, Gretchen Wilson, Chris Cagle, David Lee Murphy, Travis Tritt, Gavin Degraw & many others. From August to November 2004, Julie, Mickey and the band opened over 30 dates for Rascal Flatts on their sold out "Here's To You” tour. You might have also seen Mickey perform on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Grand Old Opry and the Country Music Awards (when Julie Roberts was nominated for the Horizon Award)?
Typically, Mickey is either in the studio creating the hits or writing them. During 2006 Mickey engineered Trace Adkins' "Dangerous Man" CD, Kevin Fowler (Equity), Kellie Pickler (Sony/BMG) and Jeff Bates sophomore release (RCA). He recently produced “Somebody Find Me A Preacher” for Austin based country artist Chad Hudson (Robbins Nashville), the latest Jeff Bates' self titled release (co-produced with Kenny Beard and Jimmy Nichols) for Black River Music Group and is currently in the studio working with the newly formed duo Tabor/Dame consisting of Matt Dame and Rusty Tabor (label TBD). As a side note, In the area of writing, Mickey signed a publishing deal in August of 2008 with, then, newly formed publishing company Melrose Music Group headed by Kenny Beard.
2008 proved to be a fantastic year for Julianne Hough as well! Cones recorded/engineered, sang back ground vocals and played electric guitar on her debut CD (released May 20th of '08). Also, be sure to fill those stockings with Julianne’s Christmas CD (engineered and mixed by Mickey) gracing the shelves seasonally in Target stores around the country.
