Born and raised in Dallas, Lex Fitzenhagen is a highly qualified judicial candidate with over 20 years of criminal law experience. Lex has demonstrated a realistic and conservative approach of fair, just, and expedient handling of misdemeanor and felony cases, as both a criminal defense attorney and a prosecutor in Dallas. By specializing in criminal law, he has served as a trial lawyer and reached amicable settlements in thousands of cases from DWI to aggravated assault to burglary. Lex has built a reputation throughout the courthouse as a fair attorney, who understands the system, has the ability to get things done and works well with all departments of law enforcement. He is committed to seeing that justice is served and has the knowledge to effectively preside over all cases brought before County Criminal Court #5.
Lex is an energetic leader having played college basketball and served as the varsity captain of his high school basketball team. He was a Dean’s List student and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University in 1985. Lex received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, and was licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1990. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Michelle and their two children, Emerson and Elena. The Fitzenhagens are active members of Highland Park United Methodist Church.
