On Feb 26, 2009, Blenderman will be one of five ten-minute plays featured in the Hobo Junction “Hobo Robo” shorts competition, the winner of which will go on to open for the company's full-length production later this spring. Blenderman Returns to Los Angeles for LA festival

The Alleged Adventures of Blenderman completed a successful third run in “The Tens,” ten-minute musical festival at the Secret Rose Theater (North Hollywood, CA) from May 30 through June 22, 2008. The Tens was a component of the Los Angeles Festival of New American Musicals, which included dozens of high-profile productions over a span of several weeks. Blenderman ran for a sumptuous twelve (count ‘em) performances, its longest run to date.

Blenderman wins down under!

Like a low-fat yogurt accumulating the acclaim of dieticians everywhere*, Blenderman racked up the awards at the conclusion of the 2008 Short, Sweet and Song Festival of Ten-Minute Musicals this past Saturday. Following a two-week run, our favorite defender of gastronomic healthfulness jetted back to the Northern Hemisphere with the Best Production and Audience Choice awards, while Blenderman’s alter-ego James M. Millar now has the Best Actor trophy to put on his super-mantle.

Kudos go to director Jane Miskovic for a reportedly choreography-rich and (did we mention?) award-winning interpretation of the Blenderman canon! Look for a videorecording of the final night’s performance on this website in the not-too-far future!

(*) Not the worst simile we’ve ever made, but close.

Blenderman Enjoys a Healthful Sydney Debut!

This weekend marked the international debut (we love saying that) of The Alleged Adventures of Blenderman as it began its run in the Short, Sweet, and Song festival of ten-minute musicals at the Seymour Centre in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Veteran stage director/choreographer Jane Miskovic’s production received high compliments from AussieTheater.com, which called Blenderman the “musical of the evening!” (We didn’t even add that exclamation point!)
