Celebrating Your First Year

Livy and Syd knew it was their birthday party. They were perfect hosts the entire day. They loved being passed around and smiled and laughed the whole time. They even skipped their afternoon nap for the first (maybe second) time ever! They both loved their butterfly cakes and butterfly wings, but did not love their birthday hats, as predicted. It was such an amazing beautiful day and we are so happy that so many of our friends and family shared it with us!

The Night Before the Party

All the cousins had a blast eating and playing together on Saturday night. Liv and Syd love their big cousin Camille and a little bit bigger cousin Hank. We had an excellent time destroying the our clean house. At the end of the night I asked if the party was over yet? The next morning we had a lot of work to do to get ready and an hour less time since it was spring ahead!

The Windy Park

We hadn’t taken any outside pictures in a while so we bundled the girls in their sweaters from their Aunt Karen and took them to the park. It was really cold and windy there so we moved them outside on our front lawn where it was sunny and a little warmer. They were happy to be outside and eating leaves and sticks again after a long cold winter.

Where are Lishy and Siddy?

One of their favorite games is peek-a-boo or as we call it, “Where’s Lishy?” or “Where’s Siddy?” They both love hiding under or behind a blanket or the curtains and then throwing it off when we yell, “There she is!” They even play by themselves sometimes when we’re not in the room. Their other favorite thing to do is to sneak in to rooms and closets that they’re not supposed to go in and they know it. They make a mad dash for the open door and at the last second, turn around and squeal, wait for me to say no, and then go anyway.
